What is geriatric care?

Geriatric care treats elders 65 and older. It includes preventive solutions and treatment for common conditions caused by the aging process. We’ll ensure to prevent the condition from worsening and improve your health.

We treat seniors’ most common health concerns, such as cognitive and mental decline, balance issues, dental health issues, osteoarthritis, heart disease, respiratory disease, and vision or hearing reduction.

We recommend visiting us for a routine checkup at least once a year. This comprehensive checkup includes a basic examination and reevaluating of your medications.

It varies for each patient and depends on their age and medical history. Health tests such as blood draw check the sugar and cholesterol levels and are based on the patient’s health concerns and symptoms.

We recommend senior patients get an annual flu shot and the pneumococcal vaccine. The shingles vaccine is also vital for adults 50 years and older. We’ll discuss which vaccines are the most beneficial for you.
